Service Description

Nature as a Resource for Mental Health – 3 x 90-minute sessions Nature as a Resource for Mental Health is a small ecotherapy group for those who would like to explore more deeply the relationship between the natural world and mental health. Across three sessions, the same group comes together for shared learning, time outdoors and gentle reflection, exploring how our relationship with nature can support resilience, connection and a greater sense of belonging. Dates: Weds 2nd September, Weds 16th September & Weds 30th Sept Time: 1pm - 2:30pm Location: Hadwen Health, GL4 4BL (meet up) Duration: 90 minutes each session Fee: Fully Funded (Free) Who is it for? You might find this programme supportive if you are experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood, grief or change; feeling disconnected from yourself, others or the natural world; or looking for ways to develop an ongoing relationship with nature as part of supporting your mental health. You don't need a diagnosis or any previous experience of therapy or ecotherapy to take part. What can I expect? Guided by one of our trained therapists, sessions combine time in the natural environment with simple ecotherapy practices, shared learning and opportunities for personal reflection. Meeting with the same small group over three sessions gives us time to explore more deeply, allowing familiarity, trust and connection to develop naturally. There is no expectation to share personal experiences. You are encouraged to participate at your own pace and in ways that feel comfortable for you. Nature as a Resource for Mental Health is the next stage of our Ecotherapy Pathway, building on the gentle introduction offered through Health in Nature. This is a three-session programme and we ask participants to attend all three sessions. Please make sure you book onto each of the three dates individually through our booking system to secure your place for the full programme. If your preferred date is currently full, you are welcome to join our waiting list by emailing info@earthwisdomtherapy.co.uk. You are also very welcome to explore our other groups, workshops and nature-based mental health support groups, which may offer similar opportunities for connection and support.
