Simply wanting to understand yourself better
You don't need to know exactly what you need before getting in touch. We'll explore that together.
Get in Touch
Taking the first step can feel daunting, but you don't have to do it alone.
Our reduced-cost counselling is available to people across Gloucestershire, and we've kept the referral process as simple as possible.
Simply email us at info@earthwisdomtherapy.co.uk and let us know a little about what has brought you to counselling, along with your availability. A member of our team will then be in touch to arrange your assessment.
Assessment Session
Your assessment is an opportunity for us to get to know you.
Together we'll explore what has brought you to counselling, answer any questions you may have, and consider the type of support that feels right for you.
It also gives you the opportunity to decide whether Earth Wisdom feels like the right fit.
Matched with a Therapist
We'll carefully match you with a therapist based on your needs, preferences and availability.
Sessions can take place indoors or outdoors, depending on your preferences and the type of support you're looking for.
Our counselling rooms are based at Therapy Rooms Painswick and are easily accessible from Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud and the surrounding areas.
Free parking and public transport links are available.
Begin Counselling
Counselling offers a confidential, non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace.
At Earth Wisdom, we work in a person-centred way, placing your unique experiences, strengths and autonomy at the heart of the therapeutic relationship. Many of our therapists also draw on additional therapeutic approaches where appropriate, allowing support to be tailored to your individual needs.
Neurodiversity
Many of our therapists have experience supporting autistic people, ADHD and other neurodivergent adults and young people.

The Difference Counselling Has Made
In the first seven months of 2026, Earth Wisdom delivered 366 reduced-cost one-to-one counselling sessions, helping people across Gloucestershire access mental health support when they needed it most.
This represents a substantial increase in our ability to support our community, with counselling delivery during June and July alone increasing by almost 300% compared with the same period in 2025. As demand for accessible mental health support continues to grow, we remain committed to ensuring that cost is not a barrier to accessing counselling.

What Counselling Means to Us
Counselling is a space that belongs to you. It's a regular time each week where you can bring whatever is on your mind - whether it's something recent or something that's been with you for a long time. You don’t need to have the right words, or even a clear idea of where to begin.
Your counsellor is there to walk alongside you - to listen, to notice, to be present - as you make sense of your experiences in your own way.
Some people come to counselling during times of crisis. Others come when life feels flat, or confusing, or simply too much. However you arrive, there’s no expectation of how you should be.
