At Earth Wisdom, we believe everyone should have access to nature-based therapy, regardless of income. We recognise that financial circumstances vary and are committed to offering fair, compassionate options for those facing hardship.
 

This policy outlines our three-tiered approach, prioritising support for those with the greatest financial need, while offering flexibility for those on lower incomes who may not be receiving formal benefits.

 

Tier 1 – Fully Concessionary Support

Session Fee: £10–£25 (subject to availability and funding)
We offer a limited number of highly subsidised places each year. These are prioritised for individuals who are:

• In receipt of means-tested benefits, including:

  • Income Support

  • Universal Credit (especially with limited capability for work)

  • Employment and Support Allowance

  • Job Seeker’s Allowance (long-term)

  • Housing Benefit

  • Council Tax Benefit (not discount)

• Or living on a very low income (under £20,000/year) and experiencing significant financial hardship.
   

Note: If you receive other forms of support (e.g. PIP or Carer’s Allowance) and are also on a low income, you may still qualify for Tier 1. We’ll consider your situation on a case-by-case basis.

 

Tier 2 – Partially Concessionary Support

Session Fee: £25–£35

This tier is for individuals with modest but more stable financial circumstances. You may be eligible if you are:

• In receipt of non-means-tested state benefits, such as:

  • Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

  • Disability Living Allowance (DLA)

  • Carer’s Allowance

  • State Pension

  • Bereavement Allowance

• Self-employed and earning below minimum wage

• On a low income between £20,000–£29,999/year

Note: You may also qualify if your financial hardship is temporary or fluctuating due to changes in health or employment.

Tier 3 – Low Income Sliding Scale

For those not receiving benefits but earning a modest individual income, we offer a sliding scale based on what’s affordable.

Session Fee Up to: 

£19,999 = £25

£20,000 – £29,999 = £35

£30,000 – £39,999 = £40

£40,000 – £49,999 = £50

£50,000 and over = Standard Fee: £60

Note: This is based on individual income, not household income.

Applying for Concessionary Fees

You are welcome to request a concession if your financial situation makes therapy unaffordable. We may ask for evidence of income or benefits to ensure that we’re allocating subsidised spaces fairly.

Our process is always respectful, collaborative, and trauma informed.
