Service Description

Health in Nature is a gentle outdoor mental health support group offering space to experience the restorative benefits of spending time in nature. Date: Tuesday 23rd June, Tuesday 30th June, Tuesday 7th July & Tuesday 14th July Time: 2pm – 3:30pm Location: Hadwen Health Surgery (meet up) Duration: 90 minutes Fee: Fully Funded (Free) Held outdoors within the natural environment, these sessions provide an opportunity to slow down, connect with nature and explore simple practices that support mental health and wellbeing. Research continues to demonstrate the positive impact that time spent in nature can have on stress, mood, anxiety, sleep, social connection and overall health. Health in Nature offers an accessible way to experience some of these benefits within a supportive group setting. Sessions may include gentle walking, nature connection activities, grounding exercises, sensory awareness practices and opportunities for reflection. No previous experience is needed. Health in Nature may be particularly supportive for individuals who: • Are feeling overwhelmed, stressed or under pressure. • Are navigating change, uncertainty or life transitions. • Are carrying grief, loss or difficult life experiences. • Are feeling isolated or would value gentle connection with others. • Spend much of their time caring for, supporting or meeting the needs of others. • Feel disconnected from themselves, nature or their local community. • Are looking for ways to support their mental and physical wellbeing. • Would benefit from slowing down and taking time for themselves. • Are interested in exploring the benefits of nature for health and wellbeing. • Simply enjoy being outdoors and would like to spend more time in nature with others. No previous experience is needed and there is no pressure to share more than feels comfortable. Participants are welcome to engage in ways that feel right for them. Cancellation Policy

We understand that life can be unpredictable and that plans sometimes need to change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your place, please contact us at least 48 hours in advance. This notice period allows us to offer your space to someone else and helps us manage our time and resources sustainably. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice, or non-attendance without notice, will be subject to the full fee. Thank you for your understanding and for supporting the smooth running of our community work.
