Therapist & Service Pathways Lead
Role Purpose
This role supports the smooth, ethical, and relational functioning of Earth Wisdom Ecotherapy CIC through a combination of practitioner-facing operational support, client-facing integration processes, and wider community and mental health awareness integration.
The post-holder provides direct clinical work as a therapist within EWECIC and simultaneously holds a Service Pathways Lead role that strengthens communication, coordination, and collective holding across the organisation.
Within EWECIC, operational and client integration support is understood as a relational and systemic function that enables therapeutic work to happen safely, coherently, and sustainably.

This role is offered within EWECIC’s reciprocal model. Access to client work is contingent on holding the associated organisational and operational responsibilities outlined below.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one therapeutic support in line with professional training, experience, and ethical frameworks.

Work within EWECIC policies, safeguarding procedures, and clinical governance structures.

Maintain accurate, timely, and GDPR-compliant clinical records.

Engage in regular clinical supervision appropriate to the work.

Undertake assessment sessions as part of EWECIC’s client intake and triage processes where appropriate.
Client Integration & Access Pathway Responsibilities

Act as a primary point of contact for new client enquiries.

Respond to client enquiries in a timely, warm, and relational manner.

Provide accurate information about Earth Wisdom’s services, fees, and access routes.

Support clients to understand the assessment process and what to expect.

Book clients into assessment sessions with appropriate assessors.

Liaise with the Therapeutic Leadership Team and assessors regarding client allocation.

Support the smooth transition of clients from enquiry → assessment → ongoing therapy.

Maintain clear, confidential, and GDPR-compliant records of client contact and bookings.

Act as a relational holding presence for clients at the point of entry into the service.
This role holds the client access gateway for Earth Wisdom and plays a key part in ensuring clients feel met, informed, and safely held from first contact onwards.
Operational & Practitioner Support Responsibilities

Act as a key point of contact for therapist administrative support needs.

Support communication between therapists and the Therapeutic Leadership Team (TLT), acting as a relational bridge where appropriate.

Respond to practitioner enquiries and support requests, signposting to the appropriate lead where needed.

Send reminder communications to practitioners (e.g. client codes, documentation processes, policy updates).

Support the coordination of therapist onboarding processes and practical induction needs.

Assist with the organisation of practitioner meetings, communications, and internal updates.
Diary, Systems & Information Management

Support the maintenance of EWECIC’s shared diary systems, ensuring they accurately reflect:
- therapy sessions
- assessments
- groups
- events
- community activities.

Help ensure information across platforms is consistent and up to date (e.g. calendars, internal documents).

Regularly review the EWECIC website to ensure:
- events are accurate
- information is current
- links and contact details are correct
- flag outdated or incorrect information to the appropriate leads.
Client & Community Care Responsibilities

Support the preparation of client self-care packs and therapeutic resources.

Gather and organise materials for client support and group work.

Assist with sourcing and collecting supplies for community outreach events and workshops.

Support the practical organisation of community-based activities and seasonal offerings.
Community & Mental Health Awareness Integration

Maintain awareness of key UK-wide mental health and wellbeing campaigns (e.g. Mental Health Awareness Week, World Mental Health Day, Neurodiversity Celebration Week, Suicide Prevention Day, Trauma Awareness Month).

Share upcoming awareness campaigns with the Therapeutic Leadership Team and practitioner community.

Support Earth Wisdom’s meaningful participation in relevant campaigns aligned with organisational values.

Assist with integrating awareness campaigns into:
- waiting room materials and displays
- internal practitioner communications
- client-facing information

Help ensure clients feel informed and connected to wider mental health conversations and resources.

Act as a bridge between Earth Wisdom and the broader mental health landscape, supporting a culture of social awareness, inclusion, and collective wellbeing.
Organisational Contribution

Contribute to the collective holding of EWECIC as a community interest company.

Participate in agreed meetings, reflective spaces, and service development activities.

Work collaboratively and transparently within EWECIC’s values of reciprocity, care, and shared responsibility.

Support a relational organisational culture that reduces fragmentation and strengthens coherence across the system.
Role Boundaries and Structure
Within EWECIC, the role of Therapist is structurally linked to the Operations & Community Integration responsibilities described above. It is not possible to undertake clinical work through EWECIC without also holding these organisational and client integration responsibilities.
If an individual steps back from the organisational role, they must also step back from the clinical role. Any transition will be planned carefully to prioritise client safety, practitioner wellbeing, and organisational continuity, in collaboration with the Therapeutic Leadership Team.
Requirements
Essential
-
Appropriate counselling or psychotherapy qualification

Professional registration with a recognised governing body (e.g. NCPS, BACP, UKCP)

Experience working therapeutically with adults and/or young people

Enhanced DBS clearance (if applicable to client group)

Strong organisational and communication skills

High relational capacity and emotional literacy

Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and professional boundaries
Desirable

Experience in client intake, assessment coordination, or service access roles
-
Experience working within community, voluntary, or CIC settings
-
Confidence using shared digital systems (e.g. Google Drive, calendars, basic website content)

Interest in systems-based and organisational psychology
-
Familiarity with trauma-informed and relational approaches
Remuneration
Sessional pay for clinical work is agreed in line with EWECIC rates and funding structures.
Operations, client integration, practitioner support, and community integration responsibilities are held as part of the reciprocal contribution that enables client allocation, professional development, and organisational membership, rather than as a separate paid administrative role, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
