Shades of Myth – BIPOC
Shades of Myth is a reflective and supportive group for self-identified people.
Service Description
Shades of Myth is a supportive group space for people from the Global Majority, offering a gentle and affirming environment to explore safety, belonging, and connection - both with one another and with the natural world. Dates: Tuesday's 7th April, 21st April, 5th May, 19th May Plus: A shared outdoor session on Friday 22nd May or Tuesday 2nd June Time: 10am – 11:30pm (outdoor session: 2pm – 3:30pm) Location: Therapy Rooms Painswick, GL6 6RD, with the final session held outdoors Rooted in relationship, care, and collective strength, this circle offers space to explore what it means to feel safe, seen, and supported - particularly in environments where these experiences have not always been available. Together, we will reflect on personal and shared stories, build connection, and gently explore our relationship with the more-than-human world. The first four sessions are held indoors, creating a grounded foundation of trust and connection. The final gathering invites the group into a shared outdoor experience - walking, resting, or simply being together in ways that feel accessible and right for each person. Shade of Myth may be particularly supportive for individuals who: Identify as part of the Global Majority Experience feelings of being unseen, unheard, or marginalised Carry experiences of not feeling safe in public or natural spaces Live with mental health or wellbeing challenges Wish to connect with others in a supportive group setting Are curious about gentle, nature-connected therapeutic work This group is open to all self-identified people from the Global Majority. The space is inclusive of disabled participants and those with limited mobility - sessions are adapted to meet the needs of those who attend. There is no pressure to share more than feels right. Each person is welcome to participate in ways that feel safe, respectful, and true for them. Our services are subsidised to keep them accessible. A small bursary fund is also available - please reach out if cost is a concern.
